BookFlashReel ("we", "our", "us") operates a videography booking platform that connects clients with professional videographers for events. Our registered email is hello@bookflashreel.com.
2. Information We Collect
- Account data: name, email address, phone number when you register.
- Booking data: event type, venue, date, package selected, and messages exchanged.
- Payment data: processed by our payment provider; we do not store card details.
- Location data: approximate location (with your permission) to show nearby videographers.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, device type, and IP address via analytics.
- Media: portfolio videos and thumbnails uploaded by videographers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process and manage your bookings.
- To connect you with available videographers in your area.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and support messages.
- To improve the platform based on usage patterns.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Basis (GDPR)
Where applicable, we process your data under the following legal bases: contract performance (to fulfil your booking), legitimate interests (improving our services), and consent (location access, marketing emails).
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Videographers: your name, event details, and contact info for confirmed bookings.
- Supabase: our database and authentication provider (EU data processing agreement in place).
- Payment processors: to handle transactions securely.
- Law enforcement: when required by applicable law.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are retained for 3 years for accounting and dispute purposes. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies (if any) are anonymised.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. location access via device settings).

9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, row-level security in our database, and access controls. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep it confidential.
10. Children
Our platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Contact us to remove any such data immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
